Rewind the clock to 6.30pm yesterday evening and it was debatable if Raising Sand was going to be declared to run at Ascot today! Thankfully overnight rainfall turned the ground from good to firm into good to soft, much to our delight!
As always Raising Sand owned by the Nick Bradley Racing Syndicate & Partner and ridden by his regular rider Nicola Currie gave it their all in one of the most valuable Handicaps of the year.
Battling it out in the final half furlong alongside Keaso, Raising Sand stuck his neck out on that winning line to provide Nicola with one of the biggest wins of her career.
